Tips for Senior Portraits
What should I wear for my senior portraits?
I get asked this question alot by my clients. First, wear what makes you feel most like yourself! Unfortunately, that doesn't always help sooooo.....
Try to avoid busy patterns, bright white and bold red -I tend to tell clients to stick to bright colors and avoid large logo's across the chest- they can be distracting.
Bring several different outfits- we probably won't be able to get to every outfit but it will give us lot's of options!
Be CREATIVE! :) Hats, boots, funky shoes, jewelry, scarves! Even if you want to shoot in last years prom/formal dress... sort of a "trash the dress" type shoot...we could shoot you in a river with your prom dress on or lying in the sand with your formal dress on!
Bring props that show the world who you are - your car, musical instrument, sports equipment, ballet slippers....even your pet!
Avoid getting a new haircut right before your senior session - if you are trying a new style, I would suggest waiting a few weeks after you've had your hair cut to give you time to get used to it.
For the girls- go light on make-up (especially eye liner) and bring lip gloss. Lip gloss gives you a little something extra- a little "lip sparkle" in the finished portrait!
This is your photoshoot! I just want you to have fun! In the future I will post outfit ideas!

The reason why I haven't been updating my blog

She keeps me busy... Her daddy and I love every minute with her! She was born May 25th at 12:55 am. She weighed 9lbs 4 oz (BIG BABY) and she was 21 1/2 inches long!! Born with a full head of dark hair. We are thinking that is going to fall out (already has started doing just that) and come back in blonde as both Roger and I were very blonde as children! Welcome to our little family, Abigail Carolyn Elizabeth Hamilton!
